I recently moved to Crestline this past summer. I had brought with me a generator which I had purchased from Costco some 5 years earlier.  I had planned on installing the generator at my previous home but procrastinated on installing it even after a few bids.

So after hearing how the power can be shut off for winds I checked with several companies on getting this installed. Most were very flakey either returning my calls or text days later and not showing up when they said they wanted to, so they could inspect it.

I was so happy that I found Gungnir Electric.  Not only did they return my calls, but also gave us a bid which was better than anything I had found at my old home. 

Each step was explained to us and was followed 100% on what was bid and done in the time which was estimated. I was particularly pleased on how well the cables were hidden being this was near our front door.

I can not recommend Gungnir Electrical highly enough.  Five star service every time.  Our little house is about 100 years old and the electrical has been piecemealed together over the years.  I found Ty who initially agreed to help us wire some security cameras.  Then he replaced some nonworking outlets, then lights, then breakers, then rewired the kitchen, then…you get the idea. He has helped out on short notice when our power has gone out unexpectedly. Ty is professional, knowledgeable, creative and a wonderful human.  He is delightful to work with and reasonably priced.  The best!

I met with 9 different electricians up here on the mountain to get estimates for my panel replacement/upgrade (to 200 amp, with ground rods and a generator interlok hookup). Ty was the leader by far, in price and personablity.

He patiently answered all my questions, heroically put up with my change orders, and did excellent work (passed inspection with ease). He’s hilarious and again, had the best price. He’s got my full recommendation and will be my go-to for any future work.

Ty Holifield may look a little shady… lol, but he is a supper nice guy, and a stand-up person. The only other thing I know about him is that he knows his craft well and cares more about doing the job right instead of getting rich from it. Don’t get me wrong. He has bills to pay, he has to put food on his table and on top of all that he has his professional obligations which also cost money. If he quotes you a price for a job, he has already thought of every angle to offer you a very fair price, even if you think its outrageous. You are paying for quality work that can’t be done by a fly by night handyman. If it could, you’d be able to do the job yourself.
